Subsidiary of the electronic government firm, National Information Consoritum, Inc. contracted by the State of Utah to build and manage the Utah.gov, the official web site of the state of Utah, and over 200 custom web services. Utah's Chief Information Officer awarded the first contract to Utah Interactive in 1999.
The public/private partnership between Utah Interactive and the State of Utah provides for the development and support of interactive applications without the direct appropriation of tax dollars because it is based on a self-funding, enterprise model. Because of their statewide contract state agencies can work with them without a Request for Proposal (RFP).
